Where did we get this idea from ???

The idea of 9000 meters project was born during a dive expedition to Dahab, Egypt (11 ? 18 January 2011).

Our tech dive team completed during this expedition many interesting dives (Canyon, Neptun Cave, Blue Hole, Canyon again - 102m depth that time, Lighthouse), dive courses (Advanced Trimix, Normoxic Trimix, Advanced Nitrox, OWI) plus we underwent very comprehensive team building training. It turned out that we could accomplish a lot together; the whole team along with the bottom group (Agnieszka and Jacek), support group: Iwonka and Maciek - 60m, Sławek and Radek - 40m and surface support group - Dynar (who could not dive on that day due to a nasty cold) worked perfectly well together - a dive to 102m was completed very effectively and practically faultlessly, hence the idea to continue such successful co-operation and our dive activity, since that's what we can do very well  :-)

In parallel to dive projects, another project has been run for some years now, namely 7summits.pl. After Agnieszka summitted Everest on May 23 2008, Jacek, with due pragmatism, summarised this accomplishment: You cannot climb any higher, but you can still dive deeper. And it would be hardly possible to argue with this statement, indeed!

That's why after several intense years of mountain climbing, the time has come for conquering depths. The objective of 9000 meters project is the achievement of the depth of at least 152 meters, i.e. the difference between 9000 meters and the height of Mt Everest (8848 meters a.s.l.), but this time below the sea level.
